You can trust what I'll say at your event because of:
My Evangelical Beliefs (Statement of Faith):
- God is at once Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus was the Son of God, the Messiah, just as He said He was.
- The Holy Spirit is God's presence within the believer, and He is the power and inspiration of every believer.
- Salvation is a free gift of God through belief in the once for all sacrifice of Jesus Christ as the only way to resolve the problem of sin that separates us from Him. We are saved by the grace of God, not by our own works.
- Jesus truly died, and rose again on the third day,
- He ascended to the Father in Heaven, where He intercedes for us and patiently waits until the Good News has been spread to the farthest reaches of the Earth.
- He will return again for His followers, who will rule and reign with Him in Heaven and the New Earth.
- Jesus will be highly exalted and we will live with Him forever.
- The Word of God is inerrant and was inspired by holy men of God who responded to inspiration by God.
- God gives each of us various spiritual gifts at His discretion, that we might lend these gifts to the church in service to Him and to each other. Not everyone has all the gifts, and God cannot be constrained by what gift He chooses to give us at any time, just as we cannot demand any gift from Him. The gifts are just that: Gifts for service, not for show.

My Church Affiliations:
I have been both Baptist and Evangelical Covenant in my adult years. Denominations were not God's idea, but they have helped believers of certain doctrines to worship peacefully together. I prefer to worship in congregations that hold conservative evangelical beliefs that match the above statement of faith. Different expressions of worship and service do not bother me as long as they preach and teach the Word of God as it was written and intended.
