Note: If you already have a theme or Scripture passage chosen for your event, I can design a special message around it for you.

Sample presentations:

 In Pleasant Places -
We will explore what the fences and markers have been in our own lives, and how God promises to lead us in pleasant places, including what happens when we don't feel that we're currently in a very pleasant place. Through stories and slides, Judy will demonstrate the meaning of the scriptures from Psalms used in this talk. A briefer version of this topic can also be used as a seminar.

Hints of Heaven –
Are you looking forward to it?
This topic will include a compilation and overview of studies from all the latest, greatest experts on heaven, including Anne Graham Lotz, Billy Graham, Randy Alcorn, John Piper and many others.  Being a visual person, Judy will mentally draw you a picture of what it might be like when we arrive in heaven, what it will look like, and what we will experience.  We will explore a lot of misperceptions about heaven as well, all backed up by Scripture. This topic can be used as a keynote, seminar, or retreat.

Heritage, Legacy, Genealogy:
 Your Enduring Legacy –
Making life mean something
Throughout the weekend we will learn practical ways to share our legacy with future generations.  We will progress from exploring our present limitations to planning our future impact on our world.

Empowering them to learn!

Note: If you already have a theme or Scripture passage chosen for your event, I can design a special message around it for you.

Sample presentations:

Put your SPECS on –
How to see where God is leading
While teaching a commercial Bible study/video series, Judy suddenly realized that she had just come up with an easy-to-remember way to know whether or not we are hearing from God accurately, or whether we are just hearing our own voice or even the enemy.  We all struggle with how to sort this out, so this method will be something easily remembered.

 — Christ in the Cubicle
Being a Christian in the working world
Judy has had a career that has taken her to some difficult places to be a Christian.  Through these experiences she never failed to identify herself as a Christian, though it was easier in some places than others.  Judy will share some creative ways to be a witness in the workplace.

Finishing Well –
Chapters and Choices
This topic has received rave reviews even from retired folks, so Judy knew that she was onto something here.  All of us go through several transitions in our lives, and change is not easy but we can go through it more gracefully by remembering some important tips. This is good for a workshop, seminar, Sunday School class, or lecture. Best as a seminar or workshop.

No Time For God?  –
How to combat this common problem
Growing up in the church from preschool days has given Judy some good, solid practices for spending time with God, but she still has to make an effort to build in time in every day.  Even pastors struggle with this problem, so Judy has explored some ideas for helping us all with this common problem. This can be used as a seminar or workshop.

Leaving a Lois Legacy—
Blessings to the third generation
We will explore the long-term impact that mothers, grandmothers, and aunts can leave on their descendants.  This is an interactive workshop for exploring practical ways to leave your legacy, including books, prayers, activities, and projects.  Best as a workshop.

Water your roots, spread your branches -
How to trace your family roots
This is a teaching workshop on how to use the internet to trace your family history.  We explore why it’s important, what God thinks about it, and how to get the most information for the least amount of work. This is a seminar or workshop format.

Ministry Wives Among Us
Take the pressure off
Being a ministry wife for over 35 years has taught Judy a LOT about how the congregation views their ministry wives and how ministry wives view their congregations.  You might be surprised by hearing both sides!  We deal with the various style of ministry wives, learning to be ourselves while stepping up to our special calling in a way that fully honors God. We look into Scripture at several women who had powerful ministries, especially as they related to their spouses. This talk is good for general women’s groups  in how to understand and support your pastor's wives  or for a ministry wives seminar or workshop.

 — Leadership: A Laugh-and-a-Half
Making leadership more fun
Judy developed this leadership technique when she and her husband were working and ministering for a whole summer in Yellowstone National Park. She needed to find a way to motivate, empower, and inspire her work force, so she came up with some creative ways that carry over to ministry in the church or at work anywhere. She has even shared these techniques with her Navy son who has to work in some very difficult conditions.

Christmas

A Reason to Rejoice
Christmas through the eyes of Wise Men  and Women
You may be surprised by what you learn about the wise men and their search, both scientifically and otherwise. This is generally used as a keynote or seminar.

Gift Exchange
Christmas or birthday gifts compared to our spiritual gifts
This is a great one for a guest event, as an outreach to the seeker.  It also lends itself well to decorations.  We will share the Greatest Gift for those who don’t know Him, and talk about spiritual gifts for those who do.  This can be used as a keynote, seminar, or workshop.

Valentine's Day

 — Delights of the Heart –
(or God’s favorite Valentines)
Exposition of Psalm 37:4-6, which includes the story of a wonderful way that God met the desire of Judy’s heart, even when she was a still a child. We will explore the difference between a deep desire of the heart and a simple wishing for something, and what the conditions are for God’s response. We is best as a keynote address or seminar.

Springtime

Seasons to Grow -
Change points and challenges
This is a popular one for Spring or Fall, since it lends itself well to using decorations.  Judy uses visuals of different kinds of plants—bringing them with her if she drives to your location—to illustrate the work that God is doing in our lives as we go through each season of our lives.  These seasons, though, are not always parallel to our ages, but more our stages in our  spiritual journey. This topic may be used for keynote, seminar, workshop, or retreat.

TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOPS

Technology doesn't have to be scary! There are lots of fun ways to learn, and it's more fun to learn with your friends!

How about offering a workshop event or even a whole workshop day for your group? Minimum size is 5, maximum is as many as you can get in the room. These workshops are designed to demonstrate, not work hands on, so you are not limited by equipment needs.

Each of these workshops can be offered in one hour or extended for a full class on each topic.

Depending upon the age and interests of your group, choose one or all for your next event:

  • Facebook for the Fearful
  • Email for the Enthused
  • Internet for the Interested
  • Security for the Scared
  • Word for the Worried
  • Outlook for the Outbound
  • Tech Trends for the Tech Curious
  • Digital Cameras for the Digitally Challenged
  • Blogging for the Bogged Down
  • Web Design for the Web Deserving
  • Christian Sites for the Christian Searching

Besides these light workshops, I am also available for onsite training if you have the desire to learn Microsoft Office or Adobe software programs, or if you just want some one-on-one help.
